TO ENTER: Send a photo of your unbuilt or snap built kit with your name, title of the build and a timestamp on a card in the photo. E-mail the photo to plamolabsgunpla@gmail.com with the subject line "Plamo Labs Contest Entry: Entry Title". Include in the body your Name and work title.
All entries must be received by July 15th 2021.
RULES:
Diorama and vignette entries will be judged on the merits of the entered kit alone (The base doesn't matter)
Any mecha model is welcome whether it be plastic, resin, fixed pose or movable..
No extra points will be awarded for the difficulty of the kit chosen.
Judges will evaluate entries based on strict IPMS judging guidelines using a tribunal system to select winners. (This favours technical perfection over creativity)
No considerations will be given for subjective criteria
Custom modification, kit bashing and scratch building are allowed and encourage; however they are not required.
Well executed modifications will earn equal consideration to well executed but unmodified kits.
A fully painted kit is expected of all entries: No snap builds or partially painted kits will be judged.
No photo manipulation beyond basic colour correction and cropping. Images that have been obviously photoshopped/edited will be disqualified.
No points will be awarded for posing, staging or dramatic lighting.
Entrants are encourage do share their work in progress photos on social media using the hashtag #plopen2021
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Entries must be unmodified beyond a basic snap build prior to the start of the competition
You'll receive a confirmation E-mail within one week, however you'd may start work before receiving the E-mail.
When finished, reply to the confirmation E-mail with your finished photos.
A minimum of seven photos are required showing: Front, Back, Left side, Right side, at least 3 additional details you would like to highlight on the build.
You'll receive a final confirmation E-mail when your completed entry is received.
WINNERS
Winners will be selected and announced shortly after the submission deadline: July 15th, 2021.
